Juliet McKinley Interview 9/20/25
What inspired you to write your latest book or any of your books? Was there something specific like a painting or a conversation?
Juliet was dared to write a book by her work besty, who was also an Author. There was a song that Juliet thought would make a good book and told her besty to write it. The besti dared Juliet to write the story.
Did you use an Outline or a checklist to plan out your story, or was it chaos that came together in the end?
Juliet usually starts with an outline, but by the time she gets to the middle of the book, things have changed so many times that it's useless.
Did you have to cut anything significant or that you really loved to make the story work?
She did not cut anything from her first book, but from the latest one she did. There was a forgiveness scene she wrote and loved, but it didn't fit where it was. It was too soon in the story for it. She had to save it and use it elsewhere.
